A field full of corgis, tiny racing jerseys, and joyful chaos – the 7th annual BlackHawk Corgi Races at Belmont Domain were everything you’d hope for and more. With 25 enthusiastic corgis taking on the seniors race, three heats, and a hilarious main final (complete with distracted runners and one very speedy winner), it was an afternoon that perfectly showcased why corgis make the best kind of mayhem.

Thousands turned out to Hunterville for the annual Shepherds’ Shemozzle, celebrating the grit, humour, and heart of rural New Zealand – and its amazing working dogs.

Sunshine, strong winds, and hundreds of happy dogs — WineDogs 2025 at Luna Estate, Martinborough had it all! From fine art picnic photoshoots to cuddles with rescue pups from Chance 4 Change, it was a day full of laughter, wagging tails, and wonderful people.

I spent the weekend photographing Burgers Across the World at Kai Tahi – a festival celebrating Burger Wellington and the first dog-friendly burger by 4Paws Empire. From doggy yoga, to puppy cuddles, to pups enjoying their own “Good Boy Burger,” it was a weekend full of mini events and lots of laughter.
